Blackcurrant pen device IQOS in Suva: the price shortlist
Blackcurrant in Suva: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Choosing a pen device for blackcurrant
Blackcurrant sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$1.6 per 10 ml.
The short version: blackcurrant in Suva works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a blackcurrant pen device really costs in Suva
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$1.6 per 10 ml.
How we tested blackcurrant in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long blackcurrant in Suva survives.
- Treating the advertised FJ$59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$1.6 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for blackcurrant in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
