Blackcurrant squonk mod IQOS in Suva: the cheap shortlist
Blackcurrant in Suva: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Coil life, liquid cost and the blackcurrant habit
Blackcurrant in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on blackcurrant: 8 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant squonk mod really costs in Suva
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.53 per 10 ml.
How we tested blackcurrant in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised FJ$64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.53 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.
