The short version: caramel in Suva works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel squonk mod really costs in Suva
We run caramel the same way in Suva: same squonk mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested caramel in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in Fiji?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does caramel in a squonk mod last?
In Suva we measured 2 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
