Cola box mod IQOS in Suva: the flat shortlist
Cola in Suva: 6 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
The honest read on cola: 6 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.23 per 10 ml.
The short version: cola in Suva works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola box mod really costs in Suva
Cola box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested cola in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where cola goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
