Frozen cartomizer IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Frozen in Suva: 6 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What frozen costs in Suva
A frozen cartomizer from the budget options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.8 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.8 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen cartomizer really costs in Suva
Frozen in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested frozen in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.8 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
