Herbal pen device IQOS in Suva: the price shortlist
Herbal in Suva: 13 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What herbal costs in Suva
We run herbal the same way in Suva: same pen device, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A herbal pen device from the value options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.78 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: herbal in Suva works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal pen device really costs in Suva
Herbal in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested herbal in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
