What the label on Licorice is allowed to say
We run licorice the same way in Suva: same refill pack, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.

If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice refill pack really costs in Suva

How we tested licorice in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
