Melon box mod IQOS in Suva: the cheap shortlist
Melon in Suva: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Choosing a box mod for melon
We run melon the same way in Suva: same box mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Fiji. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: melon in Suva works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon box mod really costs in Suva
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.51 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where melon goes wrong
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for melon in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
