Melon RDA IQOS in Suva: the deals shortlist
Melon in Suva: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Fiji. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run melon the same way in Suva: same RDA, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: melon in Suva works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon RDA really costs in Suva
A melon RDA from the discounted options in Fiji costs about FJ$3.01 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
Where melon goes wrong
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised FJ$45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$3.01 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
