Pear pod kit IQOS in Suva: the compare shortlist
Pear in Suva: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Pear pod kit here
The honest read on pear: 10 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.99 per 10 ml.
The short version: pear in Suva works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear pod kit really costs in Suva
Pear in Suva reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested pear in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where pear goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
- Treating the advertised FJ$65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.99 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
