Plain pen device IQOS in Suva: the deals shortlist
Plain in Suva: 10 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Plain pen device here
We run plain the same way in Suva: same pen device, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.21 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested plain in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
