Plain pen device IQOS in Suva: the flat shortlist
Plain in Suva: 6 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plain habit
A plain pen device from the flat-rate options in Fiji costs about FJ$3.06 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Plain in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain pen device really costs in Suva
Plain in Suva reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Suva survives.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
