Plain squonk mod IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Plain in Suva: 22 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Choosing a squonk mod for plain
We run plain the same way in Suva: same squonk mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Fiji are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain squonk mod really costs in Suva
We run plain the same way in Suva: same squonk mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested plain in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where plain goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.63 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Suva survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
