Plain vape pen IQOS in Suva: the flat shortlist
Plain in Suva: 21 units tested over 2 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Plain vape pen here
Plain in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you are looking at plain in Fiji, the first question is not strength. It is whether the vape pen you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain vape pen really costs in Suva
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$3.58 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$3.58 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.
Packaging for plain in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
