Sour box mod IQOS in Suva: the compare shortlist
Sour in Suva: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Sour box mod here
We run sour the same way in Suva: same box mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A sour box mod from the compared options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.73 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: sour in Suva works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour box mod really costs in Suva
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.73 per 10 ml.
How we tested sour in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.73 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
