Sour cartomizer IQOS in Suva: the online shortlist
Sour in Suva: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
Sour in Suva reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sour in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour cartomizer really costs in Suva
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Fiji. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested sour in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.

Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
