Tobacco squonk mod IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Tobacco in Suva: 16 units tested over 4 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What tobacco costs in Suva
Tobacco in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run tobacco the same way in Suva: same squonk mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: tobacco in Suva works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco squonk mod really costs in Suva
A tobacco squonk mod from the budget options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tobacco in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised FJ$46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.95 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
Is tobacco legal to sell in Fiji?
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tobacco the budget price and the premium price can sit within FJ$2.95 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
