Tropical RDA IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Tropical in Suva: 18 units tested over 2 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Fiji. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.85 per 10 ml.
The short version: tropical in Suva works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical RDA really costs in Suva
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Fiji. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested tropical in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.85 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
