Tropical refill pack IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Tropical in Suva: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What the label on Tropical is allowed to say
Tropical refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.73 per 10 ml.
The short version: tropical in Suva works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical refill pack really costs in Suva
We run tropical the same way in Suva: same refill pack, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tropical in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Suva survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.
Packaging for tropical in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Suva: about FJ$2.73 per 10 ml liquid plus FJ$37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
How long does tropical in a refill pack last?
In Suva we measured 5 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
