Licorice starter kit IQOS in Suva: the best shortlist
Licorice in Suva: 17 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Choosing a starter kit for licorice
We run licorice the same way in Suva: same starter kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Licorice in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice starter kit really costs in Suva
Licorice sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested licorice in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in Suva survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever Fiji allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Suva: about FJ$3.47 per 10 ml liquid plus FJ$46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
