What a melon cartomizer really costs in Suva
The honest read on melon: 6 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Suva survives.
- Treating the advertised FJ$46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$3.09 per 10 ml.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.

Frequently asked questions
How long does melon in a cartomizer last?
In Suva we measured 8 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Suva: about FJ$3.09 per 10 ml liquid plus FJ$46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
