Pear pen device IQOS in Suva: the flat shortlist
Pear in Suva: 6 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Where buyers go wrong with pear in Fiji
We run pear the same way in Suva: same pen device, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at pear in Fiji, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: pear in Suva works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear pen device really costs in Suva
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested pear in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where pear goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Suva survives.
- Treating the advertised FJ$52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.18 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
