Salted pod kit IQOS in Suva: the cheap shortlist
Salted in Suva: 19 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Coil life, liquid cost and the salted habit
Salted pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A salted pod kit from the cheapest options in Fiji costs about FJ$3.38 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: salted in Suva works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted pod kit really costs in Suva
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$3.38 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where salted goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Suva survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
